The Old Mine Cut has a special place in my heart.  I love this cut and the vintage-style ring designs that were popular when these diamonds were first discovered in rivers and caves in India.  The ring has a really nice, special profile.  It has a delicate, feminine look and is reminescent of special traditions and hand-made, one-of-a-kind creations by master artisans.  There was no mass production, and no manufacturing to cut costs.   The Old Miners were cut by hand, by candlelight.  These gems were from either India or Brazil, where the first diamonds were found.  Therefore, the Old Mine Cut is the first known diamond cut, popular in the Georgian and Victorian time (early 1700s to late 1800s).  Put this on your finger!
