A treasure from the Tucson Gem Show! Opal is said to be as diverse as snowflakes or fingerprints. Each stone is unique. This gem's background or "body" color is black with a beautiful pattern of a rainbow or vivid "play of color" that is nicely visible against the dark body. It has a beautiful, high quality symmetry, thickness and polish. I've presented this one-of-a-kind Pear Shape Black Opal with a halo of blue, yellow and orange sapphires along with green emeralds. The chain is a sterling silver paper clip chain with a lobster claw clasp.
Fun facts: Black opals are the most rare opal. Opal is one of the October birthstones.
